How did you manage to fix it?
It happened with my website when I accidentally deleted a single line of code and it got all messed up. Took me 6 hours of non-stop trying until I finally found the damn line of code missing! |

Yup, has happened to me more than once, took hours to fix and it was usually one line of code lol thats another reason i hate coding lol

Oh yeah, this has happened to me loads of times. The thing is if you have friends that know how to fix it you won't have that big of an issue.

I have never destroy a website, simply because I dont have a website(In the past). However sometime I code and I always forgot to put in '';'' at the end of the code.

I am not really great at coding, which is why normally I do not try to mess with the codes. This problem never happened to me thankfully.

I accidentally deleted a bunch of folders I didn't mean in my host panel and brought my first MyBB forum to its demise.
 You might bash your head but you also learn to take some extra steps after that. |

When i didn't make it with MOD install, i screwed it up when i tried to add a Mod when i used a proper software for the first time.

It happened to me once too! When I added a single line of code everything got weird...

Many times, as someone already stated. Usually involving some custom code or a plugin. hehehehe I make regular full file/database backups which usually helps correct the issue.

Yup, happened to me with my current Discussion HQ board. When I was upgrading to Xenforo 1.2.3 something happened on my end and it shut my site down until my host could bring it back up thankfully the next day.

It was a while back on one of my old sites. I used one of those quick install things on the CPanel, forum is going good for a while now and then one day I go back the cpanel and there are two mybb installations listed, one of which was like a test site, I delete one and it ends up to be the real site and not the test one
 I luckily had a database but it was around a week old

I've had to restore from old databases too. I make like daily backups now.

I did once quite a few years ago now when I accidentally added in code and it all went wrong and I forgot to save the file I edited. It took forever to fix it and that was with me and my Dad trying to fix it. Luckily I managed to get everything back the way it was and I never attempted to make that edit again.
