Node is the most powerful library for javascript I have ever seen. A lot of php coders have already switched a bit, since that helps greatly with real time apps like chat. If you get a lot of members simultaneously on your forums, you will get a headache opening stuff.
I was considering to create a forum software with node in the future, or maybe a social network, to defeat oldie Facebook.

If you try to do a chat for example, it has to run in real time.
Unfortunately, php purpose is server side and it has to be somewhat slow to detect intruders.
Whereas Node is appropriately a real-time language which means that its mission is to give
information and return it as fast as possible in real-time.
Imagine stuff you do in real-time and stuff you do one at a time.
PHP is slow doing a lot of stuff at the same time, but it is fast doing one at a time.

So basically ising node is faster and more practical as in efficient?

Only big problem is that node is not server side language :/
Anyway, Facebook is boring, I open it once a month and see so many friend requests.
No scroll to the top buttons, same old chat thing and mind boggling timeline.
It got worse and worse and it is normal because they worked for it since 2004.
Imagine to be using the same website since 2004 and upgrading it.
It would suck like hell

I have lately seen some amazing work from people around the world and they are getting really near.

I don't think that is will last for longer especially after I saw this on alexa.

Even though the first one is Google, this is only good news.
I personally feel respected from Google, especially its search engine.
Problem is, its social network sucked!!!
I liked its functionality though.
