So, does twilight suck, yes or no? I don't think Twilight sucks, no... but there are certain aspects in the series that I didn't enjoy particularly. You? (For example: necrophilia from Bella Swan)

Yes, Twilight sucks. I've read articles and blog posts by people way smarter than me, where they point how Twilight is a terrible piece of literature, purely from an objective point of view.
Here's a short article about it: www.cracked.com/funny-7664-why-twilight-sucks/ And from The Oatmeal: theoatmeal.com/story/twilight Of course, if you enjoy Twilight, no one can tell you not to, everyone has the right to like something for whatever reasons. But Twilight still sucks.

It sucks in many ways, not just because I don't like it for no reason but because of some legitimate concerns:
1. Bad grammar/editing (I don't know how they let these issues slip, but it did happen. Although the errors border more on the line of personal preference, there are some examples I know of that were not added for literary effect.) 2. The character development is either non-existent or just downright horrible. Bella never makes any significant changes. She is essentially the same person from beginning to end. It's a matter of the things she experiences and the places she goes to that change. Edward is very much the same in most ways. Really, her secondary characters have more personality than the main ones do. 3. The plot is horrifically boring and predictable. There is nothing exciting or different about the Twilight series. It only offers what we've seen more times than I can count in a slightly different manner, and with some weird and often ridiculous twists to the story. All in all, it's not a piece of literature that should be praised or commended in any way, shape or form. Unfortunately, it is because it appeals to the cheesy romantic, immature and sexually charged audience who crave badly written series like that. |

Oh yes... unfortunately or sadly, many fans praise it because of this.

I haven't read the book.
I haven't seen the movies. I still like the memes and the bandwagon and I may joke with it but honestly I have no much against them. I suppose it is not great but not as bad as people claim it is. Part of me thinks there must be something there right to pull this many people towards it. *Reads the oatmeal explanation* ...Oh. |

just wish that the vamprires were more realistic as they dont sparkle in the sunlight That's probably one of the biggest issues with that series for me. The Vampires Meyer made up, have precisely nothing to do with any established Vampire lore. She hadn't (not sure if she has now) read any vampire books before creating Twilight, so she just made up Vampires that she could fall in love with. The woman is a menace to literature.
