Gimp or Illustrator? by Deleted

I always use Illustrator but never used Gimp before.
Should I use it or not? The most important thing about Gimp, is that it is free, according to my friends.

GIMP is free and easy-to-use for both beginner and professional. If you have money I wont suggest you buying Photoshop or others software.
Never heard of Illustrator software before.

I'm learning how to use Illustrator in my computer graphics class. It's Adobe. I'm not used to it.

I'm more of a GIMP person. It's free, and it has just as much as Photoshop does. I can make some signatures on there.

Never used Illustrator, but GIMP is free and from my experience it's easy to learn and use.

I personally love Illustrator, though I have never used Gimp.

GIMP and Illustrator are two very very different programs, for different things.
Illustrator is for true vector, where as GIMP is similar to Photoshop, in the sense it's for editing photo's and touching stuff up, making website and the likes.

I know, but the main idea is to just learn a bit of Gimp so I can fuse the two

Not too sure if GIMP supports features from Illy, does it?
So fusing the two together would be difficult. I would suggest using Photoshop (I am not a PS user) because at least that way they are both compatible with one another, allowing for much smoother fusing
