It never quite caught me.

I liked the lack of fast travel options, and how dangers increased tenfold during the night, so you had to plan your field trips, or else you'd be pretty screwed in the wild. The sidekick system (i forget what it's really called) feature was pretty cool too, but holy hell do they talk a lot.
Graphics weren't great though, and the biggest let down for me was how lacking the story was. In an RPG, for me, story is just about the top priority, and i quickly lose interest in an RPG if the story sucks.
