Very much looking forward to this one I have mine pre-ordered and I am now just waiting for Friday to roll around. I am like a big kid at Christmas at the moment, very excited.

Not really looking forward to it as I am a Sony fan girl, but it WILL be interesting to see how it measures up to the Playstation 4 release. Microsoft has taken a bit of a leap here, which could be good, could be bad on many levels, and I want to see--later on, much further down the road--if the console is worth getting.

It's the console I'm gunning for this generation.
Unfortunately i live in Scandinavia, and all our XB1s have been delayed until sometime in 2014.

I personally am not excited for the new xbox as I completely hate the name and I just dont really think it has a lot of new stuff to offer unlike the PS4. I think that PS4 will do much better then the Xbox One in my eyes. So sadly, I am not excited for it.

While I can see where the Xbox One is supposed to be an all-in-one machine, I personally dislike the idea of having what I feel should only be a gaming console. That's not to say what Microsoft is doing is a bad thing. It's a good thing for those who want it. But for me, I guess I am a little old school in that when I think about playing video games, I want one machine strictly for gaming. If and when the Xbox One severely decreases in price, then I'll consider purchasing it, but Sony--for me--offers a more appealing package all around (hardware, appearance, exclusives, etc).

I am undecided as I have the ps3 and have yet to play the xbox 360 lol but, i told my hubby i want one or the other so he will have to decide!

But for me, I guess I am a little old school in that when I think about playing video games, I want one machine strictly for gaming. If the X1 was way less powerful, gaming wise, I wouldn't be getting it for sure, but since It's just as powerful in that area, I see all the new functions as a bonus, I'm not even opposed to the Kinect being bundled in. Yes the first one was a massive disappointment, but I like that Microsoft is at least attempting to progress with the concept, and who knows, If there's going to be some absolutely fantastic exclusives for it later, I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. To me, the PS4 for now just seems too one sided. It'll do games, It'll do them very well, but that's it. My PC is meant for gaming as well, but i use it for a ton of other stuff, same with my phone, It's meant to do calls and texts, but I use it for much more, I don't see why i shouldn't expect the same from my console.

I'm going to try and wait till I get the new system. Well if I can before im forced to but it so I can play my favorite games. I guess time will tell but I might switch to the PS4 due to its gaming capabilities.

I guess time will tell but I might switch to the PS4 due to its gaming capabilities. The PS4s is slightly better yes, but I seriously doubt that it will be noticeable on any level. So you won't be sacrificing anything gaming wise, if you'd pick the X1 over the PS4.
