Upon Sony's much anticipated release of the Playstation 4, its owners are experiencing what is being referred to as the "blue light of death". The way the console is supposed to work is that when you power it on, a blue light is supposed to pulse and then it will turn to white; however, the blue light seems the blue light is not actually going away, resulting in an inability to turn on or use the console properly.

No word yet on what the cause of the problem is. Sony is, of course, looking into it, but no simple solution has been posed. It's a good thing, I think, that I don't have enough money to buy one because I desperately want a Playstation 4. Better to wait to get one until they can really devote some time to this and fix the issue. Kind of interesting to see how the Xbox One will perform when it is released this week on November 22nd.
"The scattered issues involved things like bent metal in an HDMI port and incompatibility with some non-Sony HDMI cables. The issues vary widely, as do the solutions."
