Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Chat Board's profile editing guide. Profiles are usually pretty easy to edit, however our forum has some custom fields that can only be filled in a certain way. Please review the following information about the "Personal" tab of editing your profile:
Display Name: This is the username you want to go by on the forums.
Email Address: This is the e-mail address that you registered with. You can change it and keep it hidden from everyone except certain staff and admins.
Password: For protection of your own account, I recommend changing your password every few weeks, though this is not something that is required. Also, write your password down so that you don't forget it.
Gender: Simply mark if you are male or female. If you do not wish for this information to be visible to all members, you can go to the privacy tab and from there you can hide it.
Location: Your location means your City, State, and or Country.
Website Name: This is where you type only your personal website/forum/blog's name, not the URL.
Website URL: In this field you type the http:// URL to your named website/forum/blog.
Most Recent Status: To update your status, just type it out here.
Signature: Your signature appears at the bottom of every post you make. You are allowed TWO images in your signature. The combined size of both images together should not exceed 400 by 400. You are allowed to advertise your forum/website/blog in your signature.
Personal Notes: I suppose this is where you put a reminder to your self. Only you and certain staff and admins can see this note:
DeviantART: If you have a DeviantART account, just paste the URL to your DA Profile.
Avatar: You can create an avatar or make your own that is 200 X 300.
