My all time favorite and always will be is Invision Power Boards.

Because not only does IPS give you a great forum platform but their official addon applications, such as blogs, store, downloads (which store and downloads can be combined to make your own marketplace,) gallery, chat platform, and a CMS platform to help manage pages.

I'm not real big with Invision. I'm not used to their ACP, and when I use one, I feel overwhelmed. I like Proboards, because it's easier to navigate and because I'm comfortable with their ACP.

For forum software my favourite has to be myBB since it is free and great to customize
