I had one ad which I sold a while back but at the moment I have no ads. I prefer to sell my ads instead of using ad networks

As a specialized advertising and promotion forum, we accept ads from everyone for anything in the world. Since the service is free, I haven't a clue yet on how to monetize the site.

I think that sometimes sites put too much advertising on their site thinking they will earn a lot instead they don't earn much and their members don't like visiting their site

I used to when I first started out but I found that they were annoying and some members did not like them. I tend not to bother with them now and keep all my sites ad free.

In my Spanish Zelda forums I have one google-ad in and two spaces to 'rent' and that was because my members wanted me eagerly to help the forum some way and they talked me into trying to set adverts and a donation box. I am trying to keep everything tidy and discreet. That said, I feed google adverst won't help me much so I might just get rid of it altogether and find other ways to get donations.

Yeah that's the one thing I didn't like when I had a ProBoards forum.

I have a bunch on my other site, but none on my forum. Made $100 so far.

Ads are a hard thing to implement on a site With the wrong amount of ads, the wrong ad placement or the wrong ad design you can easily confuse your viewers or plain out make them leave. But that being said ads can put money in your pocket so they can be an important asset. With the right balance I would use ads on my site.

I use niche ads that match my site's content. They seem to get a lot of hits.
