For me, it is harder to manage a forum because you have to deal with spammers, bad posts etc.

I manage a forum that offers blogs as well. Frankly, there is more work to do in the forum section. I had some fun setting up a few different skins for blogs, including a mobile style.

And people not getting on and fighting and not liking each other... Blogs, there's less drama on there
to deal with as staff (blog manager).
