Many forums / blogs administrators/founders are trying to buy a premium theme or even find a Graphic Designer or a Web Designer for creating a custom theme. What do you usually prefer? Having a website which has a custom, a premium or a free theme and why?
Personally. I don't release a new project without buying a custom theme. It's better, for me, to ask for a custom theme because it will be unique. I think that visitors like participating in unique and beautiful websites!

I try to always get a custom theme designer, As I don't have money to pay for things. However, with that said, I tend to make them on my own, (not very well) but I always have unique themes on my forums or websites, or at-least try to.

If I have the option to get premium designed ones I get them some times the apperance is the difference

I'd rather have a custom theme that's unique to my website, but I guess if you can't afford to get one free themes are always an answer.

I always tend to buy a premium theme for my site then heavily modify and customize to make it unique
